Content Submission Guidelines

The Unitarian Universalist Church of Davis (UUCD) publications and website are great places to invite people to learn more about your group, committee, and/or Unitarian Universalist (UU) event.  Content must relate directly to UUCD and to our congregation.  UUCD’s staff reserves the right to make final decisions about content and to edit submissions so that they are in keeping with the rest of the site/publication. 

We do not post/publish:

  • the personal contact information of our congregants.
  • current, recognizable faces of children in our congregation.
  • invitations to events not open to the whole congregation or a demographic within the congregation (example of an acceptable group invitation: all high school students).

Please submit all content to office@uudavis.org

  • Please include in your submission:
    • your name and contact information (email and/or phone).
    • the name of the group/committee you represent at UUCD.
    • the name of the chair(s) and (if so desired) group/committee members or central volunteers.
    • the date and time of your meetings.
    • the location of your meetings.
    • contact information to learn more about your group/committee.
    • a description of your charge, not to exceed 200 words. 
  • You may also include:
    • one or more photos to accompany your announcement.
    • a link to more information. 
    • current or upcoming special events your group/committee is hosting/involved in.
    • An invitation to join/learn more about your group/committee.

Weekly Bulletin (website/print)

Please submit all content to office@uudavis.org

  • Please include in your submission:
    • your name and contact information (email and/or phone).
    • the title of your event.
    • the date and time of your event.
    • the location of your event.
    • the contact information to learn more about your event.
    • an invitation to/description of your event, not to exceed 50 words. 
  • You may also include:
    • one photo to accompany your announcement.
    • a link to more information.

Lifespan Learning Catalog (website/print)

Please submit all content to office@uudavis.org

  • Please include in your submission for an class/workshop/event:
    • your name and contact information (email and/or phone).
    • proof that you have cleared your event with the Director of Lifespan Learning, re[at]uudavis.org
    • the title of your class.
    • the date and time of your class.
    • the location of your class.
    • an invitation to/description of your class, not to exceed 200 words. 
    • any fees/suggested donations related to your class.
    • the name of the facilitator.
    • the contact information to learn more about your class.
    • registration instructions.
